The social event of the summer is just a week away !
Our agency, Lj Public Relations is taking care of the media for The Deighton Cup, and we couldn’t be more excited to be apart of this event.
The Deighton Cup has officially been dubbed both by press and word-of-mouth as the must- attend fashion and social event of the summer. The weekend will consist of two signature events – Big Smoke and The Thoroughbred Race taking place on August 10th and 11th.
The Big Smoke event will be on Friday August 10th at 5pm at Hastings Racecourse Marquee. This evening will bring together dapper gentlemen and sophisticated ladies for a special preview night of trackside gaming, cigars, pig roast dinner, and a scotch & bourbon tasting.
The follow day at noon, Vancouverʼs young professionals will gather at Hastings Racecourse for The Thoroughbred event. Thoroughbred puts a modern twist on a vintage day at the races and was the first of its kind that melded track nostalgia with fashion, music, and craft cocktails.
The Deighton Cup is all about the outfit – this is one Vancouver event where everyone (even the guys) goes all out, wearing hats, fascinators and ascots. This is a not to be missed event. Can’t wait to see you at the races !
